A talented designer with a huge imagination is using AI to conjure up a series of homes so realistic that you’d swear they came from Airbnb’s ‘OMG’ category.
Oslo-based designer Ben Myhre now has over 500,000 followers on his Instagram account, and just one peek at his creative genius explains why. Interior design lovers and art appreciators from all over the world are flocking to see his creations. From Victorian Steampunk Mansions to Dark Mountain House, the range of dwellings is as captivating as it is diverse. And it’s really hard to pick just one favourite.
To avoid anyone mistaking one of the images for a real abode, Ben clearly lists the tools he uses to create each image, which is usually a combination of Topaz, Imagination AI and Photoshop (and if you haven’t heard of a few of those, you’re not alone!).
Ben collaborated with artist Lolita for the extraordinary compilation of Light and Dark Kitchens (below), which delivers all the gothic feels with some mystery thrown in for good measure.
While they’re all amazing, a stand out for its realism is the Dark Coastal House project. With a dark and moody palette, it’s packed with the sort of features you’d expect to find in a high-end beach house. There’s a fireclay farmhouse sink, butler’s pantry, brass tapware, luxe furnishings – and then there’s that view.
We can’t wait to see what mystical and magical worlds Ben comes up with next. Dumbledore’s kitchen, perhaps?
