The first days of using the FreeRider FR2000 iQ, were a breeze, and it delivered on all expectations we had: easy placement, easy retrieval, easy cleaning plus the peace of mind we get from having the kids and the dogs not tripping or getting tangled in cords.

It’s also nice to have a unit that is not permanently getting slimy and corroded living at the bottom of the pool or that is a pain to get out.

We also wanted to see if it could handle a real workout, so we left our pool without chemicals for a few days awaiting the reliable tinge of green algae, plus had an extra load of leaves from a recent storm that had sunk to the bottom, plus some extras that I threw in to put it to the test.

Not a problem: Within 2 hours, the Freerider IQ not only picked up every single leaf and solid debris, but pulled all the algae off the bottom and jetted it up to where the pool filter could do its job.

Even better we were pleasantly surprised that because this cordless Zodiac is free to roam and is not tethered, the usual patterns and blind spots a corded cleaner has were not an issue. It literally goes everywhere.

Today, we’re pleased to review the Zodiac Freerider 2000 IQ pool cleaner. Featuring a quick start guide and easy-to-assemble materials this stylish product comes with a convenient charging station, on wheels, for easy mobility.
In a short duration, it was fully charged and ready to run a full cycle. The Zodiac Freerider is cordless, so there is no difficulty with untangling long wires which may otherwise create a tripping hazard. All you do is submerge the cleaner vertically into the pool and wait until it sinks to the bottom.
The robot can be started via the remote or the slide-and-release feature, or the iAqualink App for real time control – to monitor the remaining clean time duration and battery level. This product efficiently navigates all pool surfaces including the floor, walls and even the water line. Other robot cleaning products often require 2 to 3 cleans, but the Zodiac Freerider only requires a single clean saving us a lot of time, our sparkling clean pool was ready to enjoy with our family!

The Zodiac Freerider FR2000 has converted us to cordless pool cleaners. The battery life is amazing and it has a in depth cleaning cycle that really gets around our whole pool.
The waterline cleaning feature is by far the highlight for us – I didn’t know this even existed!
