Hello!

In perfect timing for those of us prioritising health and fitness in the new year, IKEA’s new DAJLIEN at-home workout collection is heading our way in January 2024.

In a first for the Swedish furniture giant, the collection meets the needs of Australians who prefer the convenience of exercising at home over going to a gym. Because if it’s convenient, it’s a lot easier to stay active.

“Not everyone feels safe or comfortable going to a gym and at home we often deal with small space and time constraints. DAJLIEN was born from the desire to find smart solutions that address these limitations and help people create a convenient and motivating place for exercise.”

Less oversized gear, more style and function

As well as making it easier for people to work out daily, the range also takes into account interior trends and practicality. Big bulky workout equipment is not only an eyesore, but often very difficult to accommodate in regular homes, and especially apartments. The DAJLIEN range solves this by introducing smart and adaptable products that fit seamlessly into homes.

Some products are specifically created for working out, others for storing equipment; and unlike the harsh black of traditional gym gear, these products use a gorgeous colour palette that work in harmony with modern family living.

Fitness AND wellness

DAJLIEN doesn’t end with weight training and fitness products either. The collection appeals to anyone looking for affordable wellness products, such as an air purifier ($59) or a massage ball ($49). There are even wearable pieces up for grabs, including a comfy post-workout poncho ($69) and cosy slippers ($10.)

With storage too

In true IKEA form, the DAJLIEN even includes storage pieces, including a trolley available in white or green ($119) and a bench seat with storage ($149) that gives all your exercise gear a convenient place to live out of sight.

Starting at less than $10

Prices range from just $6 for the hand towel packs and extend to $149 for the storage bench. The 3kg weight training ring 2-pack is just $35 and the step-up board is only $49. And affordability aside, every item is created to be a cinch to use, store and transport (which will be very welcome if you’ve ever attempted to get a treadmill into your car.)

“DAJLIEN is all about supporting movement and helping people live more active lives at home. We have designed a collection that helps bridge the gap between home and active life, that recognizes that training can take many shapes and forms and that you don’t need a lot of space to do a simple workout.”

And finally, if you’re wondering what DAJLIEN means, it’s ‘daily.’ Because with these goodies in your life, getting active every day is easy.

The DAJLIEN range will be available at IKEA Online, on the app or in stores nationally from January 1st, 2024.
