While Nouvelle is known for its high-end kitchen transformations, this master bedroom and ensuite renovation in Sydney’s Cammeray proves that the team’s talents go beyond cooking zones.

What started as a dated and cramped space is now a light, luxurious and carefully thought-out retreat, scattered with stunning modern elements.

Serenity and balance dialled up

Reimagined with a soothing palette of warm whites, natural textures and subtle contrasts, the master bedroom welcomes with open arms.

The hero of the space is the redesigned wardrobes, complete with contrasting Kethy handles. Not only are the fresh wardrobes a big tick for storage but they also bring balance and symmetry to the space.

Michael from Nouvelle explains that the wardrobes required them to re-think the space and reposition the existing ensuite door. It’s a great example of just what’s possible with a design-led approach to layout.

“Within this main bedroom we had to modify the doorway into the ensuite, that way we could get symmetrical wardrobe doors in width.”

For a seamless ensuite entrance, the team used a custom pivot door with a magnetic catch. It’s a clever choice that keeps the door flush with the wardrobes and emphasises the room’s clean lines.

Small bathroom, big ideas

With a brief for a smarter layout and more space, the Nouvelle team pushed back an existing wall to create a more generous shower space.

Modern touches include the square shower niche, a fluted shower screen that pairs beautifully with the textured vanity splashback and lineal floor grate.

Like Nouvelle’s kitchen in the same apartment, this project worked with minimal space, meaning every detail had to count. A clever layout and considered finishes were the answer to creating that coveted luxe-modern feel.

And we think they’ve nailed it.

  • I think this is all a little bit bland. Yes, it’s colour neutral and would be suitable for anyone, but shows no personalisation. I am not huge on the black and white theme. This could be any hotel room. It needs some splashes of colour throughout to lift the space to reach it’s full potential.

  • Love the walk.in shower! It screams, “the robot vacuum could clean me every day!” I am a big fan of decreased cleaning responsibility. My favourite part would definitely be the wardrobe doors. They bring a lot of character into the room that achieve the homely vibe without the need for an overly warm palette.

  • Definitely a stunning reno. It looks so fresh, clean and open! The fluted glass is one i’ve definitely grown to love when i see them in bathrooms now. It acts as a fantastic privacy screen too yet still feels so classy and sleek. They really used the space up well here!
